The Ueno Toshogu is a shrine in Ueno dedicated to Japan’s third great unifierTokugawa Ieyasu.
The shrine is famous for its peony and the Peony Festival is held in winter and spring. The Botan Festival is held from 1/1 to the end of February and from 4/15 to the beginning of May
(Botan Garden: Adults 600 yen, high school students 400 yen, junior high school students and younger free).
