Iriya Kishimojin Temple is famous for the annual morning market held around the Tanabata Festival in summer.
It is one of the Shimotsuya Seven Gods of Good Luck and also one of the three major Onigimojin of Edo.
It is also famous for the Japanese pun (jiguchi: I am afraid + Kishimojin) in the Kyouka poem “Osore Iriya no Kishimojin” (I am afraid + Kishimojin).
